Paul Pogba’s characteristic strike in November’s win at Swansea City has been voted Manchester United’s Goal of the Month for November – the second successive month he has scooped the prize.
The Frenchman showed great technique to get on top of a bouncing ball and fire a rocket from the edge of the ‘D’ into the top corner at Liberty Stadium, opening the scoring in an eventual 3-1 win for the Reds. You can enjoy it again on our Twitter page.
The goal received 58 per cent of fans’ votes in a poll on ManUtd.com to finish ahead of Wayne Rooney’s spectacular drive at Fenerbahce (17 per cent) and Juan Mata’s first-time finish against Arsenal (nine per cent), with seven other shortlisted goals making up the remaining 16 per cent.
After the victory in South Wales, Pogba enthused on MUTV: “I think this is one of the best goals I’ve scored for Manchester United but I hope to score more to help the team.”
Pogba also won October’s Goal of the Month accolade for an effort from a similar distance in the Europa League home win over Fenerbahce.
